SNOWBALL 2007 — “HEART IN HAND” AWARD

The Golden W.H.E.E.L. Organization (Women Helping to Educate and Enrich Lives) has chosen to honor members of the community who have taken personal time and resources to support the needs of home and family in our community.

PAST AWARD RECIPIENTS:

The Golden W.H.E.E.L. Organization gracioulsy honored Oak Craft, Inc. with the “Heart In Hand” Award at their 2007 Annual Snow Ball Gala.  The award was accepted by Danny Spitler, President and LeRoy Zacheck, Vice President.  The event was attended by many of our dealers and vendors.  Thank you for your support and dedication to the children and families of our community.Oak Craft has partnered with the Golden W.H.E.E.L. for the past four years and participated in donating kitchen cabinetry and entertainment centers for the evening's live auction.

The Golden W.H.E.E.L. Organization was established in 1999 as a non-profit community service group with a two-fold mission to raise funds for the West Valley Child Crisis Center and scholarships for high school seniors.  In just four years, this organization has donated over $550,000 to the West Valley Child Crisis Center and over $400,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 157 West Valley high school seniors. The Golden W.H.E.E.L. Organization has also donated over $80,000 to the Peoria Educational Enrichment Foundation for sound systems for first grade class rooms, $80,000 to the YMCA, and $36,000 to the Sunflower Center, which is a learning center in the Peoria Unified
